| The Galilee is Israel's northern region. It is generally mountainous and is devided geographically into Upper Galilee in the north and Lower Galilee in the south. In the region exist many holy sites of great significance to Judaism and Christianity. The Sea of Galilee - The beautiful sea of Kinnereth is located in the Galilee and is surrounded by the city of Tiberias on the west, by kibbutz Ein-gev on the east and by many holy Christian places like : Bethsaida, Tabgha, Magdala and Capernaum "the home of Jesus" 2000 years ago. "His kingdom included the eastern Arabah from the sea of Kinnereth to the sea of Arabah.." (Joshua, Chapter 12:3). |
